Who viewed my blog?
-
Is there a way to tell who specifically viewed your blog and not just the number of views? When I had a bloodspot blog it told me what sites were referring to me. What I really want to know is how can I make sure it’s just not spam? Thank so much!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The answer is no. There is no means of identifying individuals. IP addresses can be dynamic and are not reliable means of tracking as they haven’t been unique for almost 2 decades. ISPs place hundreds of us in the same IP block to save money.
What I really want to know is how can I make sure it’s just not spam?
You will need to learn how to determine what is spam and what is not spam. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/05/06/trackback-and-pinback-spam-what-to-do/

Hmmm. Oh well, would have been nice to know who was reading my blog. But then again if it was a book….
Thanks for the reply Timethief.Joy.

On a blog what is worthwhile looking at is:
(1) comments – meaningful on topic comments that expand the discussion
(2) backlinks to your posts in posts published on sites with high authority and page rankIMHO bean counting is a waste of time and energy. I love getting page view stats and comments, and I’m keenly aware that likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats.
http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/07/09/wordpress-followers-likes-and-stats/I don’t believe the number of likes on any post is an accurate reflection of the number of true followers any blogger has. If you want to count up your faithful followers take a look at who comments on your posts.

(1) Learn the how to’s of comment baiting.http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/03/21/blogging-comment-baiting/(2) Commenting meaningfully and frequently on blogs with similar content.
(3) Become active on social networking sites.
