Each username account has a single email address associated with it, a single gravatar and only one primary blog can be linked to the username. As auxclass already told you Staff will not violate the privacy policy and provide the email address for any username account, so do be clear on that. Contacting Staff will be a time waster for both of you.

Just to clarify something else for you no group, company or organization owns a blog here. Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and their associated email address.
The blog’s owner must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to transfer the blogs and any upgrades to another username account.

It does not give me access to the setup.Thanks! I”ll try the 2 email addresses timethief gave me above.
(I need a support email address of WordPress to get the message to the blogmaster who set up this site. We will need to transfer the ownership. I can only do that if I know how to contact the original owner. I am still trying to find it here too, but it seems that the person is not a member of the club any more. )

Contacting Staff is an exercise in futility. You will waste both your time and theirs doing that because they will not breach the privacy policy and provide the email address. They can’t.

yes TT I saw that – figured the OP could do a bit of research – or if they knew about the email they could have saved all of us some work by explaining that in the first post in this thread – but they did not seem to have bothered to look at all the pages on the site – nor did they want to – that is first step
they could try leaving a comment and maybe the comments are set to moderate and the blog owner gets the comment – but seems to me they should have some sort of record of who belonged to their group or some long time members that remember who did the site – then pick up the phone and call them
