Hi there,
It seems Staff are implementing another aspect of the “new dash” and it’s causing issues for some like you. Please hang in here as this thread is tagged for Staff assistance.@damiandownfall
I enjoyed our chat but I must leave this thread in Staff hands and go on to help others. Best wishes to you. :) -
I enjoyed our chat but I must leave
Oh, no worries, I’m sure that when the wp-admin comes back, we can just chat privately.

Yeah, we think WP is going through a global update. Best suggestions are to just wait until it comes back and we can have a global scavenger hunt to find the new stuff they added/changed =P
-
The blog I need help with is mbpl007.wordpress.com. I’ve cleared cookies and all that, I was in the middle of typing and all of a sudden I can’t get back into my dashboard. WHat happened?
-
I am so glad that I found this forum! I actually changed the email address I use on WordPress today so I was so worried that I’d broken something with doing that. Typical of me to make an admin change and then WP be updating!
-
May I politely suggest that you could all find something else to do for a couple of hours, perhaps, outside in the fresh air? When you return with any lick at all this issue may even be history.
-
So other people are experiencing this too. I just posted this elsewhere…
“I deleted an old, unused blog page from ‘My Blogs’ earlier and since have been unable to access or edit to any great extent my primary blog page http://www.shelteredlifepr.com. The dashboard will not load – I am greeted with a white page and loading gif – and everything about WordPress has become very Fisher Price. Simple and lacking the same level of detail and features it had last time I logged in. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction.”
I don’t know what’s going on but I hope it’s worked out soon as I can’t access my dashboard.
-
I vote for when we come back, we all have a global scavenger hunt to find all the new stuff/changed stuff =P

Mine is now working again. It wanted me to use the new version of the dashboard, but I went back to Classic. Hurrah!
-
Just going to copy and paste my OP from my other thread here since it’s being closed:
After creating a new blog today and making just a couple of posts, I can’t seem to access my blog’s dashboard/settings anymore. Whenever I try to go the “My Blogs” tab, “Manage My Blogs” from the dropdown menu, etc., I just get an empty page.
My blog used to show up in the list before, so I’m just quite confused. Maybe it’s because I recently changed my settings to private or something that I can’t find it anymore? I can still make posts via “New Post” and such, but it’s annoying to not be able to edit or take advantage of some of the other features.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. I’ve looked at old topics such as https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/the-my-blogs-tab-is-empty?replies=3, but the links mostly send me to the same empty page, so that exact solution doesn’t seem to work anymore.
The blog I need help with is mephisephene.wordpress.com. http://mephisephene.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ just redirects me to http://en.wordpress.com/my-blogs, which is blank as I mentioned.

Hey everybody, now when you go to your wp-admin, (at least for me right now) it works and gives you an option to view the classic dashboard!
-
I’m having the exact same issue. This is just an FYI so it’s documented. Hopefully it’ll be working again soon. Thank you! :)

Howdy,
Just to reiterate what timethief said, there is a known issue with the WordPress.com dashboard displaying incorrectly when viewed using Internet Explorer in ‘Compatibility Mode’.
In order for it to display correctly, please turn off Compatibility Mode. Instructions are here:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html
In addition, go to the ‘Tools’ menu in IE and open the Compatibility Mode Settings. In there, make sure that WordPress.com isn’t on the list of sites enabled for use with Compatibility Mode.
Be aware that once this is done, the page will reload, and you might need to login to WordPress again.

I am still having trouble getting to the ‘Dashboard’ there is no area at the top, after a lot of clicking and praying it might come back, if not I will give up,
have just up dated my Firefox browser, it started off ok but now there is no where to click for ‘Dashboard’ -
@widgetwilk I think we’d benefit from discussing this in more detail with screenshots. I have sent you an e-mail to get some more information and help out that way.
Thanks,
-
Can someone please tell us what the fix is and stop just talking for the sake of getting talk time. What a waste of time .
-
Sorry if I am wasting your time but have had this problem solved in another topic, in fact I was mail privately and the problem is now solved.
