Who's able to read a private blog?

    So I have a large family, and I’m currently working abroad. I wanted to start a blog so everyone could see what I was doing–this would save time on individual e-mails and the like. Obviously I’d want to make it private, but does that mean that only people with WordPress accounts could view my blog? Maybe there’s a password that I can put in place and give only to people for whom the blog is intended?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Yes, it means only people with WordPress.com accounts can follow your blog. That’s how WP.com verifies they are the authorized people.

    PS – only people you invite in can read the blog – not just any WP user
