Why a 1900×500 .png looks graniy on Front Page? [Edin Theme]

Have you tried replacing it with an optimized image of the exact size?
1,900px × 500px (scaled to 1,010px × 265px) -
Yes, i did. But since my screen resolution is 1920×1080 it stretches the images to fit the screen and the result is even worse.

The way the featured image in this theme is displayed, it scales to stretch across the entire width of the browser window. This means that the image may look soft or blurry at certain screen sizes, which can be particularly noticeable with certain types of graphics like text. For this reason, you may want to avoid using logos and text within the featured image, and instead use the Site Logo area instead.

In short terms we can say that every image will looks blurry with this theme, but if you’re smart and you use an “homogeneous” image you wont notice it. Ugh… I’ll try to fix this situation taking notes of your answer, even if i will probably end up changing theme (this problem is also present here http://harryvalenti.wordpress.com/portfolio/work1-2/ and i guess i can’t live with that)
Thank you so much for your answer, you were valuable! (+1 for short times too!)
Wish me luck looking for a good free theme :P -
One more option you may want to experiment with is a custom header. If you like the look of it better, you’d be able to have a different custom header on different pages with a bit of custom CSS.

Actually kinda solved using Goran (a theme really similar to Edin) and observing suggested measures. As you can tell, blurriness is quite gone and the result is nice. Actually looking to Espied theme too…
