Why a follower not receiving email notification for new posts?

I received an email stating that a friend was now a follower and would receive email notification of new posts. However she can now access the blog but does not receive email notification. How to fix?

I’m having that problem too. I’ve had people say they all of a sudden stopped receiving email notifications when I post things. They see new posts on my blog but don’t receive the emails for them for some reason. This just recently started happening with them. They had been getting them before tho.

@suesing6- How a subscriber receives notification of a new post on your site is entirely up to them. They may have chosen to only view it in the WordPress.com Reader, in which case they may not receive an email. In order for your follower to receive an email of your posts, they have to set this as their preference in their Reader settings. http://en.support.wordpress.com/subscriptions-and-newsletters/

@cyperezblog-yours is an entirely different problem and I recommend opening a separate thread on it. Unfortunately, this is a fairly common occurrence, though I have not seen any solution.

I too am having email notification issues. I no longer receive emails saying my post has been published. Today, my followers didn’t receive the email saying a new post had been published. I’ve done nothing to my settings. I’ve checked everything the support page tells you to check. I’m really irritated but can’t figure out what to do.
