Why a new blog I was creating included "dotcom" in the name?

    I was trying to create a blog with the name “pushpamalagarlands” for a friend. In the email at yahoo.com, I received an email asking to activate. When I clicked on the it, I found the name of the blog is showing as pushpamalagarlandsdotcom.wordpress.com, which is awkward. How can change it back to just pushpamalagarlands.wordpress.com

    pushpamalagarlands.wordpress.com doesn’t exist
    The address pushpamalagarlands.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved!

    When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username.

    @ timethief, Thanks for the response. Actually, I created the pushpamalagarlands. I stopped in the middle to consult my friend for whom I was in the creating and in the process, I lost it. Please, help me retrieve the blog pushpamalagarlands and complete it.
