Why adds appear in my portfolio description

    Hello!

    In the description of my portfolio elements appears this text: About these ads Occasionally, some of your visitors may see an advertisement here. Tell me more | Dismiss this message (http://luckabucka.com/portfolio/unique-lamps/)

    Can i delete it?

    Hi Lučka,

    We sometimes display advertisements on WordPress.com sites, in order to keep free features free. We try to make the ads discreet and to only run them in limited places.

    To remove ads from your blog completely, you can purchase the No Ads upgrade (on the Store page in your site’s dashboard) or upgrade your site to a WordPress.com Premium or Business plan. You can read more about what is included in our plans here:

    I completely understand that adds need to appear on sites that are not upgraded, but i think that in my case the problem is somewhere in portfolio settings as this text appears at every description. There is no link, no foto (as it is when you open the portfolio link).

    Hmm, maybe i will just cancel the descriptions of portfolio elements. I think that maybe the “code” understands the add texts as a description text and it displays it all.

    I dont understand why this text appears on the “english” links (example: http://luckabucka.com/portfolio/unique-lamps/), on the slovenian it doesnt – the code is the same (http://luckabucka.com/svetila-lucka/).

    Do you have any idea?

    Hi Lučka,

    I’m not sure I understand what you mean by that. Can you make a screenshot of what you see? You can upload screenshots to your Media Library under Media > Add New in your dashboard, or you can use an online service like Snaggy.

    That will help me understand the problem you’re describing.

    As I mentioned earlier, ads are only run in limited places, so you may not see them on every page of your site.

    Hm, now when you mentioned you don`t see a difference i tried to check my page in incognito mode and i noticed everything is ok. Obviously only i see it when i am logged into wordpress as admin.

    So actually if only i see it, i don`t mind if this “add text” appears there. :)
