Why am I being asked to pay? I thought there was a 30 day free trial?

    What happened to the 30-day​ trial; then $9.99/month? You are asking for an annual payment now to continue

    I’m sorry to hear there may have been some confusion. WordPress.com doesn’t offer a free trial period. All plans must be paid for at the time of purchase.

    There is a 30-day refund period, though. Perhaps that is what you are referring to?

    If you saw the “30-day trial period” on a site somewhere, could you share the URL with us?

    Hi there,

    We have never offered a 30-day free trial for any paid plan on WordPress.com, nor have we ever offered monthly payment options. Our pricing pages show the monthly cost for comparison, but on all pages it’s indicate plans are billed annually.

    If you purchase a plan and find it’s not what you need you can request a full refund for 30 days after purchase.
