Why am I getting an error message when I try to invite contributors?

  I’m trying to invite new contributors to my blog; however when I go to the “New users” setup page and type in the emails, I keep getting the message ::WordPress.com username does not exist or invalid email address.”. And the Help tab is no help because I’ve been following these instructions. Am I missing something? thx

  Are you sure they have a WordPress.com account? You can read more on how to invite users at http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users
