Why am I getting spam comments that have not been caught all of a sudden?

The last few days I have gotten a bunch of spam comments on my blog, I rarely get any that haven’t been caught by you guys but all of a sudden the past 3 days or so I am getting 1-2 a day. Is there a reason or did something change? Just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Thanks in advance!

Are the comments caught in your Spam filter? If not please do let me know asap, and follow the advice listed here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/unwanted-comments/.It’s so unfortunate, but these spammers are insidious and come and go in waves. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with them now. We want our users safe and undisturbed, so it’s important to know when this happens. Please keep in touch and let me know if the trend continues. In the meantime, we’ll keep an eye out. Thanks again!

No, they are not caught in my spam filter but just posted as normal comments. But I do follow the list you sent already so I can erase them before they are posted officially. Just annoying to have to get in there and do that…these people need to get a life. Lol.

Ugh! When you blacklist them, are they still able to spam your comments? Or have they been stopped after that point?

Honestly, I have no idea…they are from such long random website that I don’t know if its the same or not.
