Why am I getting this message – "user cannot edit posts"? And what do I do?

    I attempted two updates while signed in. The first one went through fine. While attempting the second update, I kept getting the message “user cannot edit posts”. What do I do?

    If you are set up as an author on that site then you can only edit posts that you originally created.

    You will need to either ask an editor or administrator to make the changes, or see if an administrator will change your role to an editor so you can make them yourself.
