Why am I getting weird statistics?

  • Unknown's avatar

Today, I logged in, had 0 view stats. So I published a short entry, clicked ‘view post’. Then I went to refresh the stats page, it had 1 view from USA. All this while I was logged in of course. This USA views started when I was writing entries in November. I recently get views from USA literally every time I publish a new entry and click ‘view post’. This never happened before. I suspect that this was me but I was always logged into my account in which is not supposed to be counted, correct? And the weird thing is, I am in Singapore. Why is this happening? Thank you!

    Hi @myakanerain,

This could be due to several reasons. You might have someone that is subscribed to your RSS feed through another service (like Feedly) that is viewing your posts. Alternatively, someone may just be viewing your posts once you put them up. I noticed this does not happen every day on your Stats page so I don’t think this should be cause for concern.

To answer your other question, no, when you are logged in, your page views should not be counted on the Site Stats page.

Are you still having trouble with the Site Stats count?

    Best,

    Jeremey
