Why am I not able to get pingbacks working on my posts?

When I insert pingbacks for Daily Prompts, Weekly Photo Challenge or any other external blog into the text part of my post it gives a link to the other blog on my post but a link to my post does not appear in the related blog. It worked when I originally set up the blog but has not worked for at least a month now. I have checked through the settings I currently have and they do say pingbacks are enabled.

Also be aware that pingback spam is rampant and it is created by opportunists who link back because they want use to approve their pingbacks so our readers to click their pingback links and visit their blogs. Thanks for the reply. I looked at the forum topic and it said that pingback issues have been resolved. I would really like to interact with the daily post pingbacks. Is there any way of getting my Blog issue checked by WordPress?
