Why am I not receiving an email to activate my new wordpress account?

I’ve been trying for a day or so to create a new wordpress account with a new email that has not been used on wordpress before, but I never receive an email to activate the account.
Does anyone have a solution?

They are not in my spam folder. We even had out IT support double check. We’ve tried 3 different email accounts and none of them have received anything to activate a new blog. It’s extremely frustrating. This has been ongoing for 3 days now.

It appears that WordPress has a particularly annoying idea of what makes an e-mail service legitimate. I don’t understand the exact criteria, but I can see their email connecting to mine, and then disconnecting, without attempting to send the email. Probably something to do with reverse DNS, or something like that. What a pain.
