Why am I not receiving an email to confirm I wish to delete my blog?

  I wish to delete my blog and it’s content as I have moved to another blogging platform. When I try to delete it, it says I will receive an email to confirm but I am not receiving any emails regarding this. My email does work correctly with WordPress.

  Hi,

  Can you check the email account listed in Settings -> General (of the blog dashboard), including the spam/junk folder?

  If you still can’t find it or the confirmation link doesn’t work, please reply back to this thread and confirm that you want to permanently delete your blog at:

  http://emptymypockets.wordpress.com/

  Blog deletion is permanent and the action cannot be reversed for any reason. Also, the blog address will no longer be available.

  However, if you want to temporarily hide your blog instead, please use privacy option in Settings -> General from the blog dashboard so only you and logged-in members of the blog can view it.

  Thank you for the reply.

  I have changed my privacy settings so that only I can view the blog. If I do delete my blog, a blog of the same name will still exist on Blogger, right? I don’t think I have any content linked to the wordpress blog. If the Blogger blog will still exist, I would like to confirm that I would like to permenently delete my blog on wordpress.

  Deleting the WP.com blog will not do anything to the Blogger blog.

  If the Blogger blog will still exist, I would like to confirm that I would like to permenently delete my blog on wordpress.
