Why am i not showing up in search engines?

    I paid to register my blog as a .com domain and was told that it would take 72 hours or so to register on the search engines. I now received an email saying I had to register with the search engines Bing, Yahoo, one other and it would cost $97.00. Why do I have to pay this extra money?

    Whoever sent you that email was just trying to scam you.

    WordPress.com automatically sends notifications to Google with every post and page update. The search engines can take 4-6 weeks or more to add any new sites. For more information about WordPress.com and Search Engines, please see http://support.wordpress.com/search-engines/ .

    It will take a couple of days from the time you created your blog for it to show up in WordPress.com search results. For more information please see http://support.wordpress.com/wordpresscom-search/ .
