Why am I seeing 0 followers in stats and notification, when I know I have followers?

  I opened a blog yesterday, but it still shows 0 followers on WordPress, though two of my friends followed in front of me. I checked the stats and all, but no fruitful results.

  Did they follow you by signing up so they get an email or you show up in their WordPress.com reader? You don’t see them when you follow these instructions?

  I guess they didn’t confirm it on their mails later for the subscription. But thanks anyway for replying :)
