Why am I unable to add badges and widgets to my blog?

  I tried to add the NaBloPoMo badge to my blog but was unable to. I have tried to add others with no success. I added the “images” to my widget list, but it will allow the badges to appear. Please respond as I have sent questions several times in the past and have NOT been contacted. Thank you.

  Are you referring to the badge at http://nablopomo.blogher.com/htmlbadges/july-2011-html-badges ?

  If so, did you upload the image first via Media -> Add New before adding it to your image widget?
