Why am I unable to leave comments on Gravatar enabled sites?

I have been registered with Gravatar for two years and in the last three weeks have been unable to leave comments on Gravatar enabled sites that I normally visit and leave comments on. Why is this?

Hi there,
My first guess is that it could be an expired or corrupt browser cookie. Can you please try clearing your browser cache and cookies, and make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled. Then log back into your WordPress.com/Gravatar account and check if you still have this problem.
If that doesn’t help, can you please provide the URLs of some of the sites where you have been trying to comment. Also, do you get an error message when you try to comment, or does it submit your comment as normally but the comment never appears?

I have cleared my browser and allow cookies. I have been a member since June 2011 and never had an issue until about three weeks ago when this started occurring. An error message does not appear and it seems like the comment is going to appear, but, it never does. On Forbes.com the comment preview window appears, but, then the comment never posts. The blogs are blogs I regularly visit and have commented on for years. On marieforleo.com the comments were going into their spam folder and they manually adjusted whatever commenting app they use to once again allow my comments. On December 1st I installed a new OS on my computer and on Dec. 3rd I changed my WordPress password, but, neither of these actions have seemed to resolve the issue. Thanks.

As neither of those sites are on WordPress.com It’s not possible for me to check if anything is wrong on that side, but if they use Akismet as their spam filter like we do on WordPress.com, it might be that Akismet has your username/email flagged as spam. What makes me think this that your last comment on this thread was also flagged as spam.
I don’t think this is a Gravatar issue, but rather an Akismet one. Akismet could have auto-flagged one or more of your comments for various reasons, or someone on a site using Akismet could have manually marked your comments as spam, causing it to treat your subsequent comments as spam as well.
Can you please contact Akismet at the following link, and select the option, “I think Akismet is catching my comments by mistake.”

Thank you for your help. I also visit seanogle.com, stayhungrybefoolish.com, thechangeblog.com, markandangel.com, and a few others. I did what you told me to and am awaiting a response. I will try and find out if those other sites use akismet, or not.
