Why are ads showing up over my photos?

  I just noticed “Luminate” ads showing up over my photos and I’d like to find out if there is a way to get rid of them.

  This is currently only available to a few WordAds bloggers, and we’re working on a way to remove it for specific sites now. Would you mind letting us know if there’s anything specific you didn’t like about it?

  Sure. I actually don’t like anything about it. I think that readers come to my blog to see pictures and will not appreciate an ad splashed across a portion of the photos. As a reader, I find it very distracting, unattractive and off putting. I also feel like there should have been some sort of notification about it to the bloggers, letting us know that there would be ads on our photos and other important info (1. why, 2. will we be making extra revenue from these ads, 3. is there a way to opt out, etc). I had to point out to a fellow blogger that they were on her site, neither of us had any idea they would be added. Hope my feedback is helpful.

  We’re working on a user-facing way to disable these if desired, but for now, they are disabled on your site.
