Why are all of my publicize buttons missing on posts, pages, archives, etc.?

  Why are all of my publicize buttons missing from posts and pages, and elsewhere?

  I don’t know how long they’ve been missing, probably not more than a few days. I’ve had publicize buttons on all the posts, page, media, and archives for a couple of years I’d guess. I have six services presently enabled on my sharing settings page.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there!

  Sounds like a browser issue. I would start by clearing your cache and cookies. A more thorough explaination is given by the support page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

  You can also try and see if the button appears while logged in under a different browser. That would confirm the issue.

  Thanks for your help.

  But I’m even more confused now. I cleared my FF cache and cookies. This didn’t bring back any of the missing buttons.

  Google Chrome displays 5 of the 6 enabled services on my Sharing Settings page, plus StumbleUpon and Twitter. StumbleUpon isn’t even listed on the Sharing Settings page. I don’t remember how that got in.

  The sixth enabled service which is missing with Google Chrome is the WordPress Press This button.

  It looks like you may be on target about it being a browser issue, but not one so easily solved perhaps. I actually clear my cache and cookies routinely multiple times every day.

  Another recent problem is that all Youtube videos in my posts and pages have the sound muted by default. I read that this latter might be caused by a recent adobe flash update. It’s not limited to embedded videos on WordPress. If if visit Youtube the same thing occurs. This is very strange and hasn’t occurred previously on a home PC of mine. Does it sound like a browser issue to you?

  Fixed. The issue was caused by a feature of AdBlock Plus which I selected by mistake.

  Still have the YouTube muting issue, but it’s everywhere, not just on WordPress.

  Glad you figured it out! I had an ad widget that was creating more problems on my blog than solutions, so I got rid of it.

  Regarding YouTube, apparently it was a widespread issue. I checked mine this morning and the videos are no longer muted. Yours?
