why are comments turned off on homepage although my settings are all correct?

  no comment area on homepage even though all my settings are correct

  Comments never appear on the home page, they only appear on each blog post’s unique page. I have a post with 2000 comments; you think anyone is going to scroll past that to get to the next post?

  I am having the same problem with posts made using the “new and improved” post-editor.

  Do not be distracted by zendodeb’s response please. You have closed comments on your posts as clearly demonstrated here http://yildizsagmanli.wordpress.com/2014/09/03/welcome-to-our-class-blog/ and now you need to enable them again.

  All WordPress blogs by default have comments open on all Pages and Posts. You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion

  Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.

  You can override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.

  To be clear,
  there isn’t an option for comments although all settings are good to go. There isnt a screen option on my admin top right either.
