why are custom styles not loading properly on home page?

  I am using custom css; the home page is not displaying the correct styles but the posts are.
  look at the difference:
  this is perfect: http://htcexperiments.org/2012/03/10/renderings-of-the-reconstructed-mound-of-vendome/ ;
  But http://htcexperiments.org/ puts the columns on the bottom.
