Why are my comments closed?

  I just started true4000.wordpress.com

  Why are my comments closed? Under general optionis, I have membership unchecked. Under discussion options, I have allow links, allow people to post on this article, and e-mail me whenever someone posts checked. Everything else is unchecked.

  The Comments settings are found on this page -> Options -> Discussion. (They can be over-ridden for any individual article.)

  Right and on that “discussion Options” page I have checked only three boxes:

  Under usual settings:

  allow link notifications …

  allow people to post comments on the article

  Under e-mail me whenever …

  Anyone posts a comment

  So why are comments closed?

  Dashboard -> Options -> General Options {scroll down to Membership}
  Is there a check mark in that box? If so remove it and click “Update Options”.

  Dashboard -> Discussion {this is the page where you complete the fields to allow comments} listed in a post above. Have you done that?

  Dashboard ->Manage -> Post {select a post the comments are closed on now} and click “edit”. When it opens you will see past the editor box on the far right blue buttons. Click on the top one “Discussion” and it will open. Check off allow comments and allow pings. Click save. View your blog.
  Did it work?

  If these things do not work then your blog needs staff to fix it. So if that’s the case, send in a feedback tomorrow.
