Why are my comments on blogs disappearing as soon as I click 'post reply'?

  As of 10-3-14, I am unable to comment on other blogs. I type in the comment, click ‘post reply,’ and the comment disappears. I have emailed a blogger whose blog I often comment on, and he is not receiving notification that I’ve left a comment. I haven’t made any adjustments to my own blog that would cause this. I am able to receive and reply to comments on my own blog, but not on others. Any help would be appreciated, thanks very much.

  As of today, 10-6-14, this seems to have resolved itself—my comments are now showing up on the blogs I read. If WP did something, thank you. Otherwise it remains a mystery!
