Why are my deleted posts appearing to followers?

  My test posts that I created to play around with the theme are showing up to those that follow me even though the posts have been deleted from the site itself. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening in the future and to remove the ones there now?

  Once you publish a post, it is sent out to subscribers. There is no way to prevent this.

  Can’t they be deleted from the readers page?

  It’s not possible to remove it from the page now, but if anyone clicks on the link to your site they won’t be able to view those test posts if they’ve been deleted or marked as private.
