Why are my Following blogs not updating?

  On my Following page the blogs are not updating. When I look at my list under edit it shows all the blogs, but they are not showing on the following page.

  Can you please try clearing out your cache and cookies?
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies

  You may need to give the page a bit of time to load as well.

  Thanks for the suggestions.

  I did all of the following, and my Following page is not showing all the blogs. It is not even showing the newest entries (I checked) of the blogs it does show – the most recent is from 3 days ago.
  – emptied cache
  – deleted cookies
  – rebooted computer
  – refreshed browser twice

  I am using Firefox 6.0.1, and my java is updated.

  I’d like to rule-out a browser-specific issue. Do you have any better luck with Chrome?

  Are you following WordPress.com blogs, or are they all blogs from outside of WordPress.com?

  These are all the same blogs that used to show up perfectly under Subscriptions. Some of them are WordPress, some of them are Blogspot, etc. I didn’t have this problem seeing any of them before, whether or not they were WP blogs.

  As of right now, only 1 blog (a WP blog) has updated in my Following since Sept. 11. However, other blogs including the WP ones have not updated. Many of the blogs I viewed under Subscriptions are not showing up under Following.

  In addition to Firefox, I also checked in Chrome and Explorer again this morning. It’s showing the same result as Firefox.

  When the functionality shifted from Subscription to Following, did WP cut out ALL previous non-WP blog subscriptions? I didn’t see that specified anywhere in the Following documentation on the support page. If WP did make this serious error, is there still a way to regain the previous functionality?

  I also tried Unfollowing and Re-Following a couple of non-WP blogs this morning. WP allowed to to Follow them, but they did not show up in the list

  We’re actually working on improving the new Follow system, so for right now, it’s only going to work with WordPress.com blogs, but we should be restoring non-WP.com functionality shortly.

  For now, http://www.google.com/reader/ has always been my favorite for following a variety of blogs.
