why are my images not showing on my blog?

  I’m new to wordpress.com. I started out about a month ago. I post images usually – I’m a photographer. at the beginning, my images were showing then one day just a gray box with the title of the image, I said ‘oh well!’ ever since, my images are not showing up anymore. anything that I’m doing wrong? any assistance will be appreciated.

  The images must be uploaded within the post, so then the first one is “chosen” unless there is a designated “featured image” and would that be using either the image post format or the standard post format or either or both… https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/thumbnail-pictures-do-not-display-on-home-page?replies=20#post-1167869
