Why are my images stalling while uploading?

Using Firefox 30, Safari 7, and tried rolling back to Firefox 29 (which worked several weeks ago). Any image I try to upload stalls, including ones which I have already uploaded (approx. 800kb ea.) JavaScript is enabled and Flash is up to date. I’ve tried logging off and on, deleting the post and recreating it, editing the Permalink, still nothing. The first image loads to about 50% and then stalls giving me an HTTP error. Sometime after this, and after closing the media upload window, there is a small line at the top of the new post editor which say something like “connection lost. trying to save draft….”

What HTTP error are you getting? Did you try uploading via Media -> Add New just to see if you’re somehow able to upload media content to your site?

I do have the same problem – one day yes and one day not! Since the beginning of the blog. Nothing to do with my pc. ‘Connection lost’ is nearly 50% of all cases. the other it just tells HTTP error.

When you have trouble uploading, does it affect all media that you try to upload to the blog? If you wait and try again later, are you able to upload the media? Or are there specific files that you aren’t able to upload at all? -

This is a heads up. We have lots of threads tagged with http error when uploading images this morning. -

Thanks for the heads up. It looks like some of the recent updates the team has been working on have coincided with some media upload issues. We’re pretty sure those issues have been fixed, but if anyone is still having trouble uploading we can work with them to find the cause. -

Thanks and understood. I believe all threads have been tagged with “http error”. It could be a error caused when the blogger’s Flash is not up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ -
