Why are my new posts delivered late in emails and on blogrolls.

  Why are my new posts showing up on Google blogrolls late? Showing up in emails late? My latest post did not show up on blogrolls until 15 hours later than it was posted. I scheduled a publishing time of 6:00 a.m., which it did, but nobody was notified until 9:00 p.m. I don’t know if this was true for WordPress blogrolls, but it was for Google. And a friend of mine’s post (also WordPress) hit the blogrolls immediately.

  This has happened a couple of times. I usually don’t schedule, and post as soon as I finish writing. It posts…goes to twitter and facebook, but not the Google blogrolls or Reader.

  Hi there,

  I’ve gone ahead and subscribed to your blog via email so that I will get any new posts sent to me instantly (or it should be at least). When you next post, I’ll review things and see what is going on.

  In regards to Google’s systems, once we broadcast your site’s new article, when it is picked up by another reader is going to be a problem within that reader. Unfortunately Google Reader is going to be shut down within the next few weeks, so development has discontinued on it. You may want to consider looking in to another feed reader alternative, as Google Reader will not be available for much longer.
