Why are my new posts not emailing?

Hi, whenever I create a new post I automatically get an email version of that post — I’m following my own blog via multiple emails, and I like to then use the email version of the post for distribution through an email listserv I manage.
At the moment, my New Posts are NOT emailing to any of my addresses — I have tried creating new posts, varying the publicize settings, to no avail. Nothing I try works.
This worked fine at the end of last week, but last night/today, I’m having no luck.
Any ideas are welcome!

FYI: my Twitter feed is posting fine — the auto-emails to followers and auto-posts to Facebook are NOT working.

Another FYI: my post published fine:

It looks like your subscription to your blog (nastyshadows.com) is not active (i.e. you have selected not to receive new posts via email). To fix this, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the blogs you’re following here:
- Click the small “Edit” link beneath your blog
- Change the setting for “Send new posts by email” to “Instantly”
- Click “Close” in the upper right-hand corner of the box
You should begin receiving notifications for your next post!
Auto-posts to Facebook are NOT working.
It looks like you recently may have changed your password at Facebook. When you do that, you’ll need to reconnect Publicize following the instructions here:

https://wordpress.com/following/edit/… not sure why mine is set to “OFF” when it’s been working before I reported the issue, and started working again later that day with a new post I’d created. I kinda thought my issue got responded to by @rachelmcr with this comment I found on another thread:

Hi everyone,I checked with our team, and they let me know that there was a glitch on August 11 that may have caused email notifications not to go out to your followers. However, that shouldn’t affect any new posts you publish (scheduled or published immediately). I’m sorry for the inconvenience with these posts!
So, should I be changing the setting you’ve pointed me to? I’m getting emails to 2 alter email addresses I have “following” my blog.
As for Facebook: I’ll re-establish that, but it wasn’t my real concern since I usually disable it. I just noticed that when I turned it on to test, it didn’t work either and thought it was coupled with the emailing issue.

There are a few things going on here:
First, it looks like there was an issue with the email notifications. However, that should be resolved now.
Second, it sounds like you’re signed up to follow your blog through multiple email addresses. I was just pointing out that your user account “nastyshadows” is not setup to follow your blog nastyshadows.com. Your other emails are likely subscribed correctly. I was just pointing out that if you’re having trouble receiving notifications through your “nastyshadows” account (and the attached email) it’s likely because you’re not subscribed.
So, overall, it looks like email notifications are working again (which is great!). I just wanted you to know that your “nastyshadows” user account isn’t subscribed to nastyshadows.com. Does that help to clarify?

Yep, I’m all good now! Thanks for clarifying about the email notification setting — I’d thought you were indicating that was how my blog was behaving, but you’re right, that email ain’t signed-up! My original email that I used to create the account is the address that gets the posts.
And yes, the issue with emailing the posts seems to have been larger than just me and is rectified now, so all’s well.

Hellow, this problem seems to have arised once again. I created a post today, and the 2 emails of mine that I have following my blog did NOT receive the post.
This is for my blog here:
http://nastyshadows.com/… this is the post I did not get via email:
http://nastyshadows.com/2014/09/15/theatrically-nasty-thoughts-edition-9/… I published a post the other day and got the email no problem, so it seems like something is amiss with the email part of the puzzle again, just like it was when I reported this problem a month ago.
Could somebody please check and see if there’s trouble with that again?

Can you please let me know the email address(es) that you checked where you did not receive the new post notifications? Please note, the emails will appear as “redacted” in the forum thread, but they will be visible to staff members.

Jeremy, I was mistaken — I only have a single email address following this blog, and it is the email that is used for the blog itself. It’s one of the addresses I already gave you, but here it is again:
(email visible only to moderators and staff)The last post I created, which was on 9/11/2014 around 4:30pm, emailed fine to that email address. This is the link to that last successfully emailed post:

I have tried creating 2 new posts since reporting this to see if the issue had either resolved itself or was fixed unknown to me, but no luck. No emails came for those 2 new posts. (I’ve since deleted these since they were just for testing purposes.)

For some reason, it looks like your subscription setting is set to not receive any notifications of new posts for this blog. Can you navigate to the following link when logged in with that email address?

If you click the “Edit” link, you should see the following:
If you select “Instant” instead of “Off”, you should begin receiving notices. Can you let me know if that solves the issue?

Thanks again, Jeremy. I’ve changed that setting and all is *once again* working.
What I don’t understand is why I’ve had to bother you twice now about this, when things were working before each time I reported a problem, which was a variation on the same issue each time … almost like my settings are getting wiped.
Anyway, I’ll hopefully think to look there next time!
