Why are my photographs suddenly not showing up on my blog??
-
I published a new blog today. When it first published, everything was fine. I just came back to see how many hits I had on my site today and to my horror, discovered that two of the three photos in this particular blog are not showing up for the public, even though they are still there when/if I go to edit it. This is REALLY bad news for me, I am a professional writer. I cannot have my blog looking like some amateur site!!! Please fix this right away, or tell me what to do.
I forgot to log out this morning. Now, I am worried that someone has hacked my site. That’s the only thing that makes sense to me.

I checked your blog post from Oct 7, and I can see the images working in that post without any problems. http://cinemaprofound.wordpress.com/2011/10/07/episode-7-grey-gardens-hell-no-vol-1-post-8/
Then I checked the rest of your posts currently showing on your home page and I found one broken image in this post: http://cinemaprofound.wordpress.com/2011/09/07/musings-from-the-red-carpet-vol-1-post-5/

I reviewed the activity log for your blog, and I found that you deleted images-121.jpg from your media library on 2011-10-08 02:22:28.
In order for an image to work in your posts, it must be present in your media library or saved somewhere else on the web. If you delete an image from the media library or if an image you references at another server is removed, it will break the image reference. If you re-upload the image to your media library, you still need to delete the old one and re-insert the new one that you uploaded (even if it has the same file name).
Since I can’t see any broken images in your latest post, then I think you may have fixed the issue in that post. However, based on what I can see in the activity log, I think you might be breaking image references by deleting images from your media library that shouldn’t be deleted if you want the images to continue to work.
