Why are my photos disappearing from Facebook weeks after sharing a blog post ?

Hi there – for some reason which I don’t understand photos seem to have disappeared from my blog posts shared on Facebook (and only on Facebook). When I check out my blog the photos are all still present and correct so it seems the problem is peculiar to Facebook. This seems to have happened sometime after sharing (like weeks) because when I initially shared the posts they were all uploaded correctly and all appeared normal. Does anyone know why this might have happened and what I could do to rectify it please ??

Hi there. WordPress.com has no control over what happens on Facebook. As I understand it, when you share a post on Facebook the image is cached on their servers, so even removing the image from your blog should not remove it from Facebook.
If it’s gone from there it’s probably their doing, for whatever reason, so I think you’ll be better served by contacting Facebook’s customer support.

In theory, yes, but as @raincoaster points out they’re much like Bigfoot: spotted from time to time but their existence has not been conclusively proven :-D
Click the arrow that appears far right on the menu in Facebook (on a computer, not sure about mobile app) and select either “Help” or “Report a problem”.
