Why are my "pin it" share buttons no longer showing counts?

  Why are my “pin it” share buttons no longer showing counts? They used to show how many times a post was pinned, just like how many times a post is tweeted or shared on facebook… Help, please? The counts disappeared from every post a while back for no apparent reason. Pinterest said that WordPress handles the code for that widget so it’s a question for you. What should I do to restore these counts, please?

  Hi there,

  Our developer has informed us that the Pin it button has been updated and the downside of the update as that we lose the count.

  That is terrible news. What on Earth sort of update takes a valuable attribute away?? Is there any other way to load a custom pinterest share widget that does the same thing??

  Hi there,

  As of now the developers have not stated anything about returning to the old share button. If it does though, I will let you know!

  While you can add any Pinterest icon you want, it wouldn’t have the functionality of counting the number of shares.
