Why are my portfolio projects not posting?

  Hi, I’m trying to make a portfolio website using the illustratr theme but I cannot get my portfolio projects to appear on my website and when I go to preview them it always says page not found…I have the portfolio projects enabled under writing settings and have even tried disabling them and then enabling them again but it still doesn’t work! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
