Why Are My Posts Deleting Themselves When Saving as a Draft?
-
This is the second time in less than a week I’ve been working on editing posts (imported from Typepad) and when saving a draft, it deletes all of my work and results in a saved blank post that I cannot recover.

Can you point us to a specific post title where this happened?
We’ll see if we can find the content for you or understand why this happened. -
Thank you for the response! The post is located here: http://kendratoo.wordpress.com/2010/09/17/three-fox-vineyards/
It’s marked as “pending” so I’m not sure if you’ll be able to see it.

I’m not sure what happened, but the good news is that the content of that post was saved in a previous revision, and I restored it for you.
This is actually something you can do – and the following support document will show you how, in case it happens again:

Thank you! I learned about revisions last night and even after using one of my earlier revisions, when I went to save it, it saved as “blank”…again. I’ll give this a shot. If all else fails, I might just re-create the post.
Thanks again for your help.
