why are my posts disappearing?

I’m a new blogger and quite clueless. Perhaps this is a dumb question, but I just noticed that my posts are disappearing. I have no idea why. When I try to view one of the missing posts, I get an error message saying, “This is somewhat embarrassing….” It sure is! Help! Please. :)

You have three posts listed in your Recent Post widget in the sidebar of your blog. You locate all posts here > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts

I suggest that you use the step by step learn WordPress.com blogging tutorial prepared by Staff. The link is on the bottom of your Admin page http://learn.wordpress.com/

That isn’t the problem. There’s a bug or something. I’ve got 4 posts from the last month that suddenly have bad links. When I try and get to them through the dashboard, they are blacked out and not clickable. Clicking on them on the homepage just results in a 404 page. Something is wrong and I’ve noticed several other posts about this subject.

Well, they’ve suddenly reappeared. I looked through my past posts from the last few weeks and I still see one with issues: It’s from Sep. 13 “Atonement: A Handbook On Writing.” It’s blacked out in the dashboard and I can’t edit it or anything.
