Why are my posts disappearing?

I’ve had two different posts totally disappear after being posted. There is NO WAY this is a browser problem because the first time I posted with the WP iOS app and the second time I posted from the WordPress.com site. In addition, I’ve cleared my cache and, just as I thought, the posts still didn’t come back. I even tried to reach the post through the FB link that is automatically sent when I post. I got a 404 error on the WP end. I am completely freaking out because I have a blog to launch October 3 and I need to keep my Words From a Wicked Woman readers apprised of what’s going on.

If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.

But if the post was created here http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ there is no means of recovery as the auto-save is not functioning there.
Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
The auto-save works there and the post will be Standard post format unless you change it.Do not create posts here > http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ where the auto-save is not working and where you are creating an Aside post format.
Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/
