Why are my posts not showing in my archive widget?

My blog is still private, because I can’t solve this problem.
I have two posts published privately, but the ‘archive widget’ does not display them. There are WordPress icons, and when you click on them, it takes you to an “oops! not found” page, where it ways to check the drop-down — but the drop-down, just as it does on the ‘recent posts widget’, just says “month” and when you click it you get a drop-down that also says “month.”
The whole blog is ready but for that, and I need it to apply for a job in a few days … so help. It must be something simple.

Oh my God. Please!!! There really is no answer to this?
I just spent all night moving my blog to a new theme, because I thought that might be the problem, and getting it all ready to go, because it’s a week late already and this is the ONLY thing holding it up. It can’t wait any longer. A LOT ride on me posting this blog right now. And everything else works great!
I am using the “archive” widget and the “recent posts” widget. Neither displays any posts, even though I’ve rebuilt in a new theme. I have searched online, all the instructions, everywhere. I still can’t make any posts show up.
There HAS to be a simple answer to this. I’ve not messed with HTML or anything. I put the widgets in place like I did everything else, and all the others work, but these are the most important ones as I have a static front page and readers won’t be able to get to the actual blog posts!
Please please please help! I will stay awake as long as I possibly can!!

As long as the blog is private, you’re going to have to solve this yourself.

It’s visible now. The problem has been resolved.
There was no need to shout, and clearly I did not understand how to solve the problem myself, or I would have. I was simply here asking for help. I apologize.
The problem WAS that it was set to private. I did not realize that was the problem, because every single element on the site was displaying perfectly well. There are lots of widgets, embedded videos, links, etc … everything looked perfectly fine. Everything else was visable. Therefor I did not realize that was the issue.

PS. I’m sorry – I also assumed that support could access a blog private or not, as they are on the “inside.” Again, I was mistaken. I am still learning.
