Why are my posts not showing up when using Tags?
-
Hi, I just came to realise that the tags I have been using for the last year of blogging has given me a result of – my posts not showing up on the reader. To reach a broad audience to share my photography work with I thought to myself, Why not use a large variety of tags.
I just read a post that said that ‘wordpress has a maximum of 8-12 tags per post. If you use more it will not always show up on the global reader.’ So i started to search for tags (over 8-12) i have used in my recent posts and found nothing on the reader. I then reposted with the same content but only using 5 tags and voila I could find the post on every tagged used.
This means that for the past year in which I have made a serious effort in trying to share my content has been in vain due to overstepping a maximum of tags – which has never been informed to me as a user of this site(?).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The tag limit is in place to help ensure that no particular bloggers dominate or overflow the Reader. Since it’s a commonly visited resource, it’s just as much a target for spammers as it is a gathering place for WordPress.com users.
I understand it must be frustrating to only hear of this rule now, and I apologize. If you’d like to read further about why content may not be appearing in the Reader, we have that information here:
