Why are my published pages not displaying?
-
Hello. I am trying to edit my pages and for some reason recently published pages are not displaying, and changes I have made to the order of pages are not being registered. They are listed as ‘published’ on the dashboard and accessible via URL. Can anyone advise?
Many thanks

Troubleshooting – My Pages aren’t appearing
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/They must be public pages – not private.
Public – The page will be visible to everyone.
Protected – The page is protected with a password you set. Only people who have the password can view a protected page.
Private – Pages are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private pages are not visible in Reader, feeds, or in any search. A page can be private without being password protected. -
There are two approaches you can use. This first one is when you only have Pages.
1. Page Order – Page attributes module order numerically rather than alphabetically.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-attributes/#order
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-attributes/2. This approach is for those who have created a custom menu and have added pages to that custom menu.
create a custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
add the pages and sub-pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-pages
order them http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#changing-the-order-of-menu-items-and-creating-sub-menusTroubleshooting – My pages are in the wrong order
If you have a custom menu then you must establish consistency. Check the Pages sub-pages themselves to see if you have established a Parent page and child page “hierarchical structure” in the page attributes module. Remove if required. Also remove any “order” numbers you have assigned that may conflict with the order you are creating by dropping and dragging. Or simply change them so they are the same order as you establish in the menu. Establish consistency – problem solved

Ah-ha! It was indeed a problem with the menu. All sorted now. Many thanks for your advice.

Accepted answer
This thread still has many views, so I’ll summarize @timethief’s helpful suggestions and add one more:
- Be sure the page is published and public
- Use this guide for creating a menu, if needed
- If you can see your page in the editor, but not on the live site at the correct URL, you may have removed the content block from your template. You can reset your template if you’d like, or re-add the content block.
