why are my student's wordpress accounts being disabled?
-
Hello,
I am a high school teacher and for the past year, I have been experimenting with wordpress to host my student’s websites for them to blog, reflect, and showcase their work. This is my 2nd year using them, and I have had several student accounts being “disabled”, however the explanation as to why is unclear. One of the assignments is for students to read Info Tech articles and complete a short review on the article and include a link to where the article originated from.
Some examples of the student sites are:

http://jason2s.wordpress.com/Can someone please explain as to why these accounts were disabled and what terms were violated? How can I set up my students to succeed with wordpress and avoid these issues in the future?
Again, not all the student websites were effected, but about 1/4 of them were (the ones listed above).
Thanks for your help.

Mistakes sometimes happen. But we volunteers cannot help you and the Terms of Service staff do not discuss these issues in these public forums. I’ll put a modlook on this thread so staff will see it, but each student will probably need to contact staff via the form at the bottom of this page:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/suspended-blogs/(or the link provided when the sites were marked as in violation of ToS)

Please note: this question was caught in the forum filter—probably because of the large number of links—so there has been a delay in answering it. My apologies, but I didn’t see it last night.
