Why are my user comments now showing up in WordPress?

I am getting emails that I have received comments to my blog, but they are not showing up in my WordPress admin site. I have checked everything in Settings–>Discussion and there are no approvals required. I have also confirmed that the Screen Options for the individual post has Comments checked and trackbacks and pingbacks allowed. What am I missing??

Hi Susan,
Any of the legitimate comments which you receive in your WordPress.com blog should be showing up in your Dashboard. Are you sure that they are definitely coming from WordPress.com and not for some other source? Do you have a WordPress.org installation, or a different WordPress.com account even? Also, have you verified to make sure that these emails are genuinely from us and are not a phishing attempt?
If they still appear to be genuine and from this account, let me know. We’ll figure out a way to get those emails over to us and we’ll see where the comments went!

Yes, they are definitely WordPress.com. I only have one WordPress account, which is this one. The emails are genuine – one is from a friend and I tried to send a test one myself as well. Thanks!

Ok, I just sent two of them. I had actually also submitted one myself through my work phone, but that one is not even showing up in my emails for some reason, even though I got a message saying that the comment had been sent.
