Why are my user name and email address CONSTANTLY not accepted?
-
Whenever I try to log in to ‘Admin Login,’ I get an error message that the user name and password do not exist. They do! I double check my account settings every time. And whenever I get information from WordPress it is to the email account that I attempt to log in with. Please help! I’m going crazy. I haven’t been able to use the product I paid for because I can never log in.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, @howtonotdostuff!
Unfortunately, these forums are for people whose site is hosted on WordPress.com — as you’re hosted with Bluehost, you’re using WordPress.org. You can read about the differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/.
If you get in touch with Bluehost’s support, though, they should be able to help get things sorted out… You can live chat with them here: https://www.bluehost.com/contact
Good luck!

Hi there,
While both our volunteers are correct that your site is not with us, I just want to elaborate why your WordPress.com username and password is not working on that site.
With self-hosted WordPress sites, a unique set of credentials are created for the site when you create it, and those credentials are stored on your server in the site’s database. That’s a completely different password and username than you use to log into your WordPress.com account.
You can access that site from WordPress.com because you have the Jetpack plugin installed on it which connects it here. But your admin dashboard uses the unique credentials for that specific site, not the creds for your WordPress.com account. (If you want to change this you can – go to My Site ->Settings ->Security and activate the Single-Sign-On feature in Jetpack. That will allow you to log into the WP-Admin dashboard via your WordPress.com account.)
To reset the password for your admin dashboard, you’ll need to follow these instructions:
