Why are old posts being sent to subscribers via email (two years later)?

    I was browsing some old blog posts of mine from January 2012. I noticed that both my home and work emails – both of which are subscribed to Lick the Fridge – were receiving new post announcement emails of the posts I was browsing. Then I checked my wife’s email (also subscribed) and she had received the emails too. This means, presumably, that anyone who is subscribed to my blog is now getting an inbox full of two year old posts. Why is this happening? And how do I stop it from happening? Thanks so much for your quick reply.

    It was a system-wide issue on our end and it has just been fixed. Thanks so much for your patience.

    It’s safe to flip both Publicize and your Email Subscriptions back on now if you had them turned off.
