Why are our photos not showing up?

  I have had this problem several times. Photos we post which are linked back to another page look fine in Edit mode, then we publish the post and suddenly the photos have disappeared only to be replaced by small gray boxes. The links are preserved but the pictures are no longer visible. Please let me know how to make this stop happening.
