Why are people following this blog.

I have two blogs. One is a blog. The other isn’t. It’s just lists of song titles. Playlists. It’s called John Troy’s Crunchy Groove Sack Playlists. They’re playlists from my radio show. All they are are lists of song titles. They are for people who listen to my podcasts and want to review what songs I play. Every time I publish a new list, I get a notification from y’all that someone just signed up to follow it. It has nine followers now, more than the blog where I actually write something! It doesn’t make any sense. Why in hell would anyone sign up to follow my latest list of song titles? I don’t believe it. I don’t believe these people actually signed up. I’ve written to a couple of ’em but no response. What is going on?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Why in hell would anyone sign up to follow my latest list of song titles? I don’t believe it. I don’t believe these people actually signed up. I’ve written to a couple of ’em but no response. What is going on?

Perhaps these individuals came across your blog and liked the playlists you were posting. I can confirm that you do have 9 followers on your blog currently. Those followers receive notifications each time you publish a new post.

Anyone can subscribe and follow a public WordPress.com blog. Currently, blog owners cannot remove followers from their blogs. However, if you do not want anyone reading your material, you can set the blog to private as explained here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/#site-visibility-options

This will make the blog available only to readers you choose.

Let me know if you need anything else!
