Why are people seeing ads on my blog when I didn't put any??
-
Hi,
Some of my blog readers are seeing ads on my most recent blog post, when in fact I haven’t put any. What makes it stranger is that some people see the ads, while others don’t.
The post is here – http://sonalimangal.com/2011/12/10/the-price-for-ip-in-photography/
The readers who saw the ad are based out of India.I can send you screenshots of the ads if you like.
Can someone please explain what’s going on?
Thanks,
Sonali

To support the service (and keep free features free), we do sometimes run advertisements. We try hard to make the ads discreet and effective and only run them in limited places.
If you would like to completely eliminate ads from appearing on your blog, we offer the No-Ads Upgrade:

Ok….I guess understand the rationale. The ads however are fairly big and not discreet for sure.
All the ads are from big commercial companies. Shouldn’t there be some revenue sharing happening with the blog owner?
Also – why is it that some people see the ads and others don’t?

Howdy,
We’re constantly working to improve advertising, so I appreciate your feedback.
You might want to check out this announcement about the WordAds program. Feel free to apply if you think it’s a good fit:
We try to run advertising only in particular circumstances, but you can always eliminate ads altogether by using the upgrade I mentioned.
I hope this helps — Feel free to drop us a line if we can be of any further assistance. :-)
