Why are some people not receiving my posts via email?

I heard from some readers that, although it shows they are following my blog via email, they aren’t getting emails. And then tonight, I created a new post. It usually arrives right away in my email but I didn’t get an email with it.
I looked into it as much as I could but I can’t figure out why or how to fix it.

It looks like the last email was delivered to your address on 2014-04-14 03:59:28. Did you receive that email? Occasionally, it can take a bit of time before the email is delivered.
Regarding your followers that did not receive the update, can you please let me know their email addresses? This way, I can help to troubleshoot the issue. The forum will hide the email address in this thread, but it will be visible to staff.

I got the email of 4/14. But I posted a new post on 4/13 and I did not get that one.
The person who brought this to my attention was (email visible only to moderators and staff) on 4/13.
There were others who told me in person or emailed me saying they missed my posts (they don’t regularly look on the site, only when they get the email reminder) but I don’t remember who they are.

Hi Marie!
The user you mentioned has blocked us from sending any notification emails their way. Can you ask them to navigate to this page?
https://wordpress.com/settings/notifications/
On that page, please make sure “Block all email updates from blogs you’re following on WordPress.com” is not checked.
Regarding you receiving the notification emails, since you received the one from 4/14, I’m hoping this might have resolved itself. However, if you do not receive new post notifications going forward, please let me know, and I’ll troubleshoot some more!
